The Essence of Circle Acupuncture & Wellness
endless flow
The cycle of life is an endless flow of energy, interconnectedness and balance, represented in Traditional Chinese Medicine as a circle that embodies the forces of yin and yang, dark and light, a wholeness that exists through the balance of one with the other. Nurturing this balance is central to cultivating holistic wellness.
Women’s Health
As women move through the various phases and stages of life we can benefit from treatments that work to balance hormonal flows and nourish fluctuating cycles, guiding towards improved physical and emotional health and wellbeing. The combined modalities of TCM can help to support the transition from yang to yin states of being.
TCM
Traditional Chinese Medicine, or TCM, is an ancient system of health and wellness that harnesses thousands of years' practice in realigning balance through preventative and restorative treatments. The practice incorporates a range of modalities, from acupuncture to herbs, that seek to restore wellness naturally.
About Alanna
I have been passionate about wellness from a young age, discovering the practice of yoga in my hometown of Newcastle. This passion led me to yoga retreats in India, where I also embraced meditation as a gentle path to wellbeing.
As a qualified remedial massage therapist, I have had a successful clinic in Peregian Beach for over 20 years. I connected with TCM when seeking treatment for an injury, drawn to the subtle methods that eased pain and restored function.
With training also as a Yin Yoga teacher, I integrate all of these rich, restorative practices into personalised treatments that help guide others along their own wellness path.

WHAT IS HOLISTIC WELLNESS?
Good health is a state of being that is both intricate and vital, defined by many layers and requiring attention in order to flow. Holistic wellness acknowledges that these many layers will only find flow by nurturing our whole being - our physical bodies, our emotional states, our habits, beliefs, environment and life stage. In addition to TCM treatments, Qi Gong and Yin Yoga are gentle movement based therapies that are practiced universally to boost a state of holistic wellness.
Wellness with YIN Yoga
Yin Yoga is a restorative and gentle form of yoga that draws on TCM principles, using various poses in long holds to release tension and allow energy to flow. As opposed to the more dynamic 'yang' yoga, this Yin practice will see poses held for 3 minutes or more, targeting deep into the body's connective tissues, enhancing flexibility, reducing pain, boosting circulation and easing stress levels. Yin Yoga sessions also incorporate some Qi Gong movement and a Savasana practice to fully relax the body and calm the mind.
